Call for Entries – Third Edition of the Electroacoustic Music Composition Competition “Reza Korourian Award” (1397 / 2018)
Submission Deadline: June 21, 2018 (31 Khordad 1397)
The organizing committee of the Third Electroacoustic Music Composition Competition, held in honor of the innovative Iranian composer Reza Korourian, and in support of electroacoustic music and the development of this genre in Iran, invites all Iranian composers active in this field, without age restriction, to submit their works to the competition.
Now in its third year, and since its second year held concurrently with the Tehran International Electronic Music Festival, the competition will also be supported by the University of Tehran. The third edition of the competition, along with the second edition of the Tehran International Electronic Music Festival, will be organized by the Yarava Music Group and the University of Tehran Music Group (Faculty of Fine Arts), with the financial and spiritual support of the Korourian family.
As in previous years, Contemporary Music Records and the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover will also collaborate in organizing this event.
The founders of this competition are Yarava Music Group, Contemporary Music Records, and the Korourian family.
As in the previous year, the festival itself does not have an open call; artists are selected by the festival’s programming committee. However, the Reza Korourian Award, in its third year, announces its 1397 (2018) call with revised conditions as follows:
