Biography
Mohammad Amin Sharifi (Tehran, 1993) studied Composition at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and currently holds a PhD fellowship in Composition at Duke University in the United States. Sharifi’s works have been performed by such new-music groups as JACK Quartet, Hypercube, Ensemble Paramirabo, A&C String Quartet, Imani Winds, S.E.M., Luna Nova, DissonArt, Duo Sequenza, Pierrot-Tehran, Breakout, Bologna Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Indiana University Symphonic Band. His music has been heard at such festivals as ReMusik, Domaine Forget, eviMus, TCMF, Druskomanija, WSU Contemporary Art Music, and RISUONANZE.

As Composer
Mohammad Amin Sharifi’s piece, Plectrum, was one of the selected pieces in the 3rd RKC (2018). This piece, alongside other selected pieces, were released on a CD titled Camouflage by YMG Records.
