The Foundation
Yarava Music Group was founded in 2001 by Mehdi Jalali, Ebrahim Allahyari and Hamed Zand Karimkhani with the purpose of introducing an alternative style of traditional music and promoting the instrumental music or a non-vocal-based genre of music.

1st Music Privacy
Since late 2003, Yarava has organized free educational, research, and performance sessions titled “Music Privacy” to introduce various musical genres, including classical, traditional, etc. The objective of these sessions has been to introduce and deepen the understanding of various musical forms by reflecting on and examining prevailing listening habits. To date, 50 “Music Privacy” sessions have been held, featuring lectures and performances by numerous brilliant masters and artists.

Music Privacy 37.5 Degrees No.1
Ulrike Brand performed online on Instagram as part of “Music Privacy 37.5 Degrees.” This series of online concerts was initiated by the Yarava Music Group during the COVID-19 pandemic and was streamed live on Instagram.

The 7th Tehran International Electronic Music Festival was held from September 6th to 13th, 2025, in a hybrid format (both online and in person).

In Pursuit of Sound
On October 30 and 31, 2025, the Yarava Music Group held a contemporary music concert at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. This extensive event featured 67 works, including instrumental and electronic music, sound installations, and video art by 50 composers. The production involved over 100 performers (musicians and vocalists) and a technical and executive team of 20.
