Biography

born in Tehran in November 1992, began her musical journey at an early age, attending Tehran Music School where she started learning the Oud at just 9 years old. She later pursued her education in Persian traditional music at the University of Tehran. Throughout her career, Yasamin has performed extensively both in Iran and internationally, collaborating with various music ensembles and performing as a soloist in numerous live concerts to stages across the globe, including countries such as the USA, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Greece, Cyprus, South Africa, Iraq, Tunisia, Qatar, and more. Yasamin has been actively involved with teaching in Tehran music school and many other music institutes, for Oud and Persian Dastgah music. She has been also participating in many music festivals and residencies and contributing to several music albums along the way. Her first solo Oud album titled “Gahan” was released in Tehran in 2015.

Yasamin Shahhosseini collaborated with Yarava in performing the pieces of the 6th year of RKC (2021). These pieces were released on a CD titled Phantasma by YMG Records.
