Biography
Behrad Alighourchi
Born in 2008, Behrad Alighourchi is an Iranian violinist. He began his musical education in 2012 with Orff music classes and started studying the violin in 2013 under the guidance of Saman Samimi and continued studying with Setareh Beheshti later on and is currently studying with Paniz Faryousefi. In 2014, he began piano studies with Amin A’arabi, later on studying with Behnam Abolghasem and Farimah Ghavam Sadri.
Alongside his instrumental training, Alighourchi studied solfège, harmony, and music theory with Sheida Kharrazi, Nireh Attaei, Arash Goran, Faramarz Nioupour, Hani Mirdamadi, and Karen Keyhani. He has also pursued composition studies under the supervision of Karen Keyhani, Alireza Mashayekhi, and Sara Abazari. He participated in chamber music ensembles at Namad Music Institute under Babak Koohestani and was a member of the Youth Orchestra conducted by Arman Norouz.
He has attended masterclasses with Professor Hagh Nazarian and Saba Yousefi. His professional activities include participation in multiple recording projects, notably ‘Gol’o Bolbol’ by Nader Mashayekhi and pieces by Elnaz Seydi, as a violinist. Alighourchi has collaborated as an accompanist with the Zaryab Choir ensemble and other instrumental ensembles.
He has appeared as a soloist with the Tehran Boys Conservatory Orchestra and performed with the Conservatory String Orchestra at the House of Artists under the direction of Mr. Taherian in tribute to Leyli Afshar. He has also performed with the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ahmad Moghaddasi Zadeh. Additionally, he has served as concertmaster of the Dialogue Orchestra under Paniz Firoozsafi and the Youth Orchestra conducted by Nasir Heidarian. His artistic activities further include collaboration with the theater production ‘Aroos-e Anar’ as a violinist under the guidance of Shervin Abbasi.
Behrad Alighourchi is currently a member of the Yarava Music Group.
