Bahar Royaee

Biography
Bahar Royaee (Tehran, 1984) born and raised in Iran. She is a concert and incidental music composer. Her musical ideas are visual based and connected to absurdity of life and humanity; while she is working on the perception of sonic events in different times. Bahar who has a diploma of Electrical Engineering in her resume. is co-founder, and composer of the “CANVASOUNDS COLLECTIVE”. where she combines her musical ideas with other forms of art. Recipient of the John Session award 2017. Bahar is graduated with Master’s degree in composition. She studied with Marti Epstein at Boston Conservatory.

Bahar Royaee’s piece, Tendency and Avoidance, won the third prize in the 2nd RKC (2017). This piece, alongside other selected pieces, were released on a CD titled Sunset in the Woodland by YMG Records.
